SELECT Awards recipients and cover stars

Apprentice of the Year finalists are presented with personalised CABLEtalk covers as they’re congratulated at special ceremony by MSP Jamie Hepburn

The three Apprentice of the Year finalists in this year’s SELECT Awards have hit the headlines again after lining up for another celebration of their achievements.

It was another proud occasion for overall winner Blair, who works for Fife Council, and his fellow finalists Stephen, who is employed by Electrical Solutions Network, and Elyse from TClarke.

Just like the formal awards in Glasgow on 12 October, all three finalists were accompanied by family and work colleagues.

Representatives from sponsors the Scottish Joint Industry Board (SJIB) and Edmundson Electrical were also present at the event at the Holyrood Hotel in Edinburgh on 12 December.

Fiona Harper, The Secretary of the SJIB, said: “All three finalists were deservedly recognised for their technical and academic expertise, and also their energy, enthusiasm and approach to teamwork.”
