SELECT industry awards 2018: Is your firm a star performer?
The most exciting night in Scotland’s electrical calendar has been announced – and now there are even more opportunities to shine!
The SELECT Industry Awards 2018 will this year be held on Friday October 12, and we’ve added two new categories as an extra chance to prove why you’re a stellar performer.
As well as the established categories – which include Apprentice of the Year and Lifetime Achievement – we’ve added awards for the best Medium and Large Contractors of the Year.
It means the contractor category is split into three – Small (annual turnover of up to £250,000), Medium (turnover of between £250,000 and £1 million) and Large (turnover of more than £1million).
Darrell said: “I know that SELECT has an absolutely tremendous track record as a campaigning professional body for the electrical sector and the awards will once again highlight the skills, dedication and commitment of the people in our industry. They also come at a time when we are pushing hard for professional recognition for electricians.
“From apprentices to journeymen, from small local businesses to major enterprises, from technically exciting manufacturers to environmentally aware innovators, these awards will showcase all that is best in our safety-critical business.”
A record number of entrants are expected for the ceremony, which will once again be held at the stylish Radisson Blu in Glasgow.
There will also be new judges facing the challenge of deciding the winners – former Clydesdale Bank Chairman Ken Lewandowski and Editor of CABLEtalk, Iain Mason. Ken said: “I am delighted to be joining the panel and I am anticipating a difficult task in choosing the winners. There are some great companies out there and this is a well-deserved chance for them to shine.”
Entry is free and if your entry is shortlisted, you’ll receive two tickets for the gala dinner and awards with B&B for two in the Radisson Blu.
