Newey & Eyre in EV charging drive

Leading electrical wholesaler Newey & Eyre says now is the time for the industry to get its foot on the accelerator to help drive forward the electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.

According to new government data, the number of alternative fueled cars on Britain's roads has more than doubled in the last year.

Kevin Norman, senior product manager for electric vehicle (EV) chargers at Newey & Eyre said: “These figures paint a positive picture for the EV market, representing an accelerated growth that is likely to only expand further as innovation in technology continues.

“Clearly 2016 is set to be a big year for the EV market, so it’s important for manufacturers, installers and businesses to ensure they are working to develop the UKs charging infrastructure, and in turn, bring to fruition a truly low carbon future of the vehicle industry.”

Newlec charging units include residential, commercial or public charge points, with wall or ground mounted options.
