Finance Coordinator: Expenditure

 

35 hours per week
Salary will be £21,260 per annum.

Job Purpose
To support the Finance Manager in maintaining the purchase ledger for SELECT, and the expenditure for SJIB and SECI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Finance Manager in maintaining the purchase ledger for SELECT.

  • Assist the Finance Manager in maintaining the expenditure for SJIB, SECI, and BSE Skills.

  • Prepare schedules, data analysis and journals for SELECT, SJIB, and SECI.

  • Support the Finance Manager through general administration duties.

  • To act always according to the Staff’s Shared Values and Customer Service standards.

NB In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required.

 

We ask that the applicants have strong administration skills, experience with Microsoft Office, data handling and analysis experience, and experience working in a Financial environment. 
 

An HNC in Accounts (or equivalent) is essential.

Employment & Skills Administrator

 

35 hours per week
Salary will be £20,760 per annum.

Job Purpose
To support Members and the work of the Director of Employment and Skills and the Operations Manager to ensure the needs of the Function are delivered.

 

To fulfil the administration requirements of the Employment and Skills Function and the Scottish Joint Industry Board (SJIB), including the SJIB Apprentice and Adult Training Schemes, ECS Health, Safety and Environmental Assessments and ECS Cards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the administration of SJIB Apprentice and Adult Trainee Registration.

  • Assist with the administration of the ECS Health, Safety and Environmental Assessments.

  • Process ECS card applications within agreed timeframes. 

  • Assist with the administration of the FESS Assessments.

  • Assist with the development and delivery of the services offered by the Function.

  • Provide advice to Members, Apprentices, Operatives and any other interested party.

  • Support SELECT’s strategy of Excellence and Skills and customer service standards

NB. In addition to these key responsibilities, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably requested.

We ask that the applicants have strong administration skills, experience with Microsoft Office, strong written and verbal communication skills and a high standard of accuracy, attention to detail and efficiency. 


An SVQ in Office Administration (or equivalent) is required.

Technical Services Administrator

 

35 hours per week

Salary will be £21,260 per annum.

Job Purpose
To provide general administrative assistance to the Technical Services Function, including the Director of Technical Services, and related staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Services Administration; provide support to the Technical Advisors, Maintain and update iMIS and SELECT website, assist in correspondence to members across multiple outlets.

  • Certification Scheme Administration; receive and process applications and renewals, provide support for any Certification queries, complete the required administrative tasks

  • Reception Support

  • Support SELECT’s strategy of Excellence and Skills and customer service standards.
    Any other relevant info etc 

NB. In addition to these key responsibilities, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably requested.

Technical Advisor 

 

35 hours per week
Salary will be £36,972 per annum.

Job Purpose
To support the Director of Technical Services by providing a high quality and cost-effective support for Members in the area of technical compliance. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provision of technical assistance and services to Members.

  • Provision of technical services SELECT through the Director of Technical Services

  • Assisting Director of Technical Services as required.

  • To always act according to the staff’s shared values and customer service standards.

NB. In addition to these key responsibilities, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably requested.

Provision of technical services will be mainly home based but work may be located at various locations including SELECTs offices as required.
